Pan Listening to Echo

Another quick sketch done in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford on Sunday:

I like this sketch a lot! I think the charcoal (?) helps capture the essence.

I LOVE the school house, and the problem with colorful is what???

Practice is the name of the game with a whole bunch of us!

Hi Tami,
Thank you! The sketch is in inkpen, as that is all I had on me at the time. I would have preferred soft pencils and toned paper - next time!

Yes - practice is what I need. It's fun doing the practice, which is the main thing I guess :)

Dear Carole,
Pen and ink technique is one of my favorites. At dusk in the fall, the woods across the way looks like a panoramic pen and ink. Beautiful work!
Also, the little school house is perfect. I think the colors are actually quite nice.

Thank you!
I've always liked pen and wash, especially with winter scenes when the light is pastel-coloured. One day I will do a winter scene like that (probably in winter!)
