EDM #55 - Draw a Door Knob

Well, I tried and I tried and I tried - but I just can't draw a decent door knob to save my life. Good job my life doesn't depend on it!

Take the period off after the html to prevent problems going to your link.

Like the colors, what type of pen or ink did you use?

OH SO NEAT, CArol!!! Love the door handle and some of those door knobs are just wonderful!!! Isn't it fun to find those doorknobs that are 'different!'

Carole,
The door knobs are very good, you are too hard on yourself. My favorite ones are the little hex shaped glass door knobs.
As for the museums, the one with the tall cases, reminds me of one my husband and I happened to visit. It was artifacts from an old mill, complete with all the old old weaving equipment, it even had some old spools etc. Where I live was once an enormous textile producing area. Now they are closed and the old mills are empty, a whole way of life gone. One day we went to around 15 mills, one even had a mill pond.

Lydia - I used felt tip! Dried out ones at that. They were the only thing within reach, and sometimes I just have to draw with whatever I have to hand or I won't draw at all.

Lin - thank you. I'm not sure these door knobs are that interesting in real life! ;)

Connie - Thank you. The textile industry is fascinating, isn't it? Where I used to live in Nottingham, there is a textile history of lacemaking.
